Privacy
Notice on the processing of personal data of visitors to makebainvest.com and of anyone writing to the email address shown on the site, given pursuant to Article 13 of Regulation (EU) 2016/679 (GDPR).
Data controller
The data controller is Makeba Invest S.r.l., with registered office at Via Antonio Tantardini 15, 20136 Milan, Italy. Any request concerning personal data, including the exercise of the rights described below, may be sent to makeba@makebainvest.com.
Messages sent by email
Anyone writing to makeba@makebainvest.com voluntarily provides their email address and the data contained in the message. The controller processes them to reply and to follow up on the request, on the basis of its legitimate interest in replying to those who contact it (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Providing these data is optional, but without an email address and the information needed it is not possible to reply. Messages are kept for as long as needed to handle the request and any follow-up, and in any case for no longer than 24 months from the last contact, unless the law requires them to be kept longer.
Cookies and local storage
The site uses no cookies and contains no analytics, advertising or profiling tools, whether its own or third-party. All content is served by the site itself: browsing it sends no data to third-party services.
The only information the site stores on your device is the choice to stop the animations: if you press ‘Stop animations’, your browser saves the entry ‘makeba-fermo’ in its local storage (localStorage), to keep the choice on later pages and visits. The entry stays on your device, is not transmitted to the controller or to third parties, and can be deleted through your browser settings. It is a technical tool, strictly necessary to provide a feature expressly requested by the visitor, and therefore requires no consent (Article 122(1) of the Italian Personal Data Protection Code, Legislative Decree 196/2003; Guidelines on cookies and other tracking tools issued by the Garante on 10 June 2021).
The link to the founder’s LinkedIn profile, on the ‘About us’ page, sends no data to LinkedIn until you open it; from then on, LinkedIn processes the data as an independent controller, under its own privacy policy.
Recipients and transfers
The data are processed on behalf of the controller by the providers of hosting (Aruba S.p.A.) and email services, acting as processors under Article 28 GDPR; the up-to-date list may be requested at makeba@makebainvest.com. Processing is carried out by manual, electronic and online means, according to logic strictly related to the stated purposes and so as to ensure the security and confidentiality of the data. The data are never disseminated and are disclosed to public or judicial authorities only where required by law.
The data are stored on servers in the European Union. One of the email providers may access them from the United States in limited cases, such as technical support and service security: the transfer then takes place on the basis of the European Commission’s adequacy decision of 10 July 2023 on the EU-US Data Privacy Framework, to which the provider adheres (Art. 45 GDPR), and of the standard data protection clauses adopted by the Commission (Art. 46(2)(c) GDPR). A copy of these safeguards may be requested at the same address.
Right to object
You may object at any time, on grounds relating to your particular situation, to processing based on the controller’s legitimate interest (Art. 21(1) GDPR), by writing to makeba@makebainvest.com.
Other rights and complaints
You may also, at any time, request access to your data, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing and, where applicable, data portability (Articles 15–20 GDPR), by writing to the same address. None of the processing involves decisions based solely on automated processing, including profiling (Art. 22 GDPR).
If you believe that the processing infringes the GDPR, you may lodge a complaint with the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali (www.garanteprivacy.it) or with the supervisory authority of the Member State of your habitual residence, place of work or place of the alleged infringement (Art. 77 GDPR).
